SUKA Supports Fandema Football Field Fencing Project

The Sanyang UK Association (SUKA) is proud to announce its contribution of £500 toward the fencing of the Fandema Football Field, a vital community project in Sanyang. This funding, approved at the October 2022 General Meeting, underscores SUKA’s ongoing commitment to supporting development initiatives that enhance the lives of our people back home.
About the Project
The Fandema Football Field serves as a central hub for sports and community activities in Sanyang. Fencing the field will not only enhance its functionality but also provide safety and structure for players and spectators. This project aligns with SUKA’s mission of fostering community growth and development through impactful projects.
Conditional Approval
The approval of the funds came with a condition: the £500 would only be disbursed upon receiving confirmation that fencing works had commenced or were imminent. This ensures accountability and guarantees that the funds are used effectively.
Recent Progress
We are pleased to report that the SUKA Executive Members have recently received reliable information confirming that the fencing works have begun or are about to start. In response, the funds were transferred to our Gambian Coordinator, Buba Bojang, who is overseeing the project locally.
